FLUX FACTORY RESIDENCY
SAFER SPACES POLICY
The Flux Factory Safer Spaces Policy applies to anyone who enters the Flux Factory building. By entering this space you are agreeing to adhere to this policy and terms of conduct.
DESCRIPTION OF FLUX FACTORY:
Flux Factory is a fluid collective of cultural creators with diverse backgrounds, identities, and ideas. Anything is possible at Flux Factory with the exception of behavior that compromises the safety of others.
WHAT IS EXPECTED:
We are committed to personal and collective creation and growth. Everyone at Flux Factory should be open to questioning and being questioned — cultivating a constructive dialogue with the intention of creating better communication.
WHAT IS NOT TOLERATED:
We do not tolerate discriminating, oppressive, suppressive or violent behavior.
At Flux Factory we have a zero tolerance policy on harassment. Harassment is unwelcome verbal or physical conduct prohibited by law and directed toward an individual because of their membership in any protected group such as race, gender and/or gender identity or expression, religion, age, national origin, ethnicity, ability, sex, sexual orientation, pregnancy, genetic information, marital status, citizenship status, or any other legally prohibited basis.
Examples of such conduct include, but are not limited to: unwelcome or inappropriate physical contact, comments, questions, advances, jokes, or demands; physical assault or stalking; offensive or degrading remarks, verbal abuse, or other hostile behavior such as insulting, teasing, mocking, degrading, or ridiculing another person or group; racial slurs, derogatory remarks about a person’s accent, or display of racially offensive symbols; displays or electronic transmission of derogatory, demeaning, or hostile materials.
WHAT ARE THE CONSEQUENCES FOR FLUX FACTORY COMMUNITY:
(RESIDENTS, ADMINISTRATION, AND BOARD MEMBERS)
