Flux Island 2024

Flux Factory returned for our fourth and final annual season as an Organization-in-Residence on Governors Island from May – October 2024. A core group of 31 Flux Artists-in-Residents, both new and experienced within Flux’s collective, met weekly to plan a prolific calendar of exhibitions and events. Activities took place in our beloved haunted house on Governors Island’s placid Colonel’s Row, neighboring a strip of 9 other peer arts nonprofits. The house doubled as a collective workspace for creating new artworks, with an emphasis on cooperative creation and accessibility of the works-in-progress to the public, who were able to walk in every Thursday-Sunday all season.
