For June Flux Saturday Governors Island Abby Cheney and Hanna Washburn invite you to join them in creating Tangled Vines, a temporary installation made of reused and recycled materials happening at 404A Colonels Row.

The installation will be an exquisite corpse of materials from our own studios, MFTA, found objects, and items brought by collaborators or passersby. We will work across media, primarily using fabric and string to stitch and tie everything together. The artwork will expand throughout the course of the day, reaching through different rooms and out into the front lawn.

We invite anyone to bring any materials they wish to add to the installation to the island on Saturday, June 24. We will also have materials on hand for anyone to use.

The work will be constructed on Saturday and will be on view through 5pm on Sunday, June 25.
